A warm welcome to new businesses!

It’s great to see you and we have some great news for your return….

As the Saddlers Centre welcomes back the return of its retailers and businesses as part of the government easing of restrictions, we’re also pleased to announce several new businesses have opened this week for the very first time!

First to be revealed is the much-loved Clive Mark brand, one of the largest suppliers of children’s uniform in the region. The retailer has been busy preparing for reopening over the last few months and settling into their new premises on Park Mall.

The second business to be named is Park Place Shoe Repair and Key Cutting, who have been serving the good people of Walsall for over thirty years and have never been closed for such a long period of time in the history of the business.  Business owner KC and his son Deanay commented:

“We’re very much looking forward to opening our doors again and welcoming customers back to our new retail premises in the Saddlers Centre. Moving shops over lockdown has enabled us to upgrade our machines so we can offer superior quality along with our professional services of shoe repairs, key cutting, engraving and watch repairs, at great prices, for the people of Walsall.”

The Saddlers Centre, despite the coronavirus restrictions, has seen positive interest in several units at the Centre.  Melvin Glasby, Centre Manager commented: “We have had a busy few months introducing new businesses to the centre and its been great to finally see them open this week with our established retailers.  Introducing and opening one of the biggest vaccination centres in the region was also a major project from January to March.  We’ve not had time to stand still with the Centre open during this time, supporting the local community with essential shopping during lockdown.”

To add to these great names, Park Place Meat completes the trio.  As a longstanding business in Walsall, the butcher will be welcoming its loyal customers to the new Bradford Mall location and is a great asset to the Centre mix of retailers.

There is a sense of relief and excitement as the Centre finally reopens its doors this week to the Walsall community.  The team has been looking forward to this time and all safety measures are in place to make it a safe and comfortable visit.

We continue to ask our visitors to play their part in keeping everyone safe by wearing face coverings and following the one way system in place.
