Ping Pong for All!
Ping Pong Parlour for all!
Since the Ping Pong Parlour arrived at the Saddlers Centre over a year ago, there has been a constant influx of visitors of all ages, abilities and genders playing on the free to use, professional tables. With the weather turning much colder and days a lot shorter, now is an ideal opportunity to drop in to the Saddlers Centre and give it a go!
The parlour is open daily from 10am- 5pm with bats and balls provided free of charge. Just bring a friend or see who is available at the Parlour and pick up a bat and play for free! Spread the Saddlers Smile and have some fun! No need to book either!
Saddlers Shopping centre teamed up with Table Tennis England (TTE) to host the four professional tables in a pop up, vacant unit. It’s one of only three sites in the West Midlands where you can trial and play table tennis for free. It’s such an accessible sport with people of all ages and abilities able to play. There’s no age barrier to ping pong, anyone aged 3 to 100 can get involved! What’s more it’s good for your health and mental well being whilst bringing people together and generating lots of laughter! Take a look at the TTE website for more information on local clubs and locations to play.
Melvin Glasby, Centre Manager at the Saddlers Centre commented:
“We are really pleased to host this great resource for Walsall and see people of all ages having fun and keeping fit. It’s a great way to stay active and with all the equipment provided, it’s so easy to pop in and give ping pong a try. Feedback has been extremely positive so we have extended the hour so the parlour is available after school, weekends and holidays.”
