Walsall Football Club Players try out our new Ping Pong Parlour

Walsall FC players join us at the Saddlers Centre for a game of Ping Pong!

Since the Ping Pong Parlour arrived at the Saddlers Centre in early summer, there has been a constant influx of visitors of all ages, abilities and gender playing on the free to use, professional tables.

The Parlour has proved such a roaring success that Walsall Football Club players want to get in on the action, and are visiting the Saddlers Centre to give ping pong a try for themselves on Wednesday 7th September at 3pm.

Saddlers Shopping centre teamed up with Table Tennis England (TTE) to host the four professional tables in a pop up, vacant unit.  It’s one of only three sites in the West Midlands where you can trial and play table tennis for free.  It’s such an accessible sport with people of all ages and abilities able to play. There’s no age barrier to ping pong, anyone aged 3 to 100 can get involved!  What’s more it’s good for your health and mental well being whilst bringing people together and generating lots of laughter!

Melvin Glasby, Centre Manager at the Saddlers Centre commented:

“We are really pleased to host this great resource for Walsall and see people of all ages having fun and keeping fit.  It’s a great way to stay active and with all the equipment provided, it’s so easy to pop in and give ping pong a try.  Feedback has been extremely positive so we have extended the stay beyond the summer so everyone can give it a go during the day, at the weekend or after school too.”

The parlour is open daily from 10am- 4pm with bats and balls provided. Just bring a friend or meet new friends and pick up a bat and play for free! Spread the Saddlers Smile and have some fun!
