New youth hub at Saddlers
New youth hub for the Town Centre
A new space for young people to chill, chat and have fun in a safe space is coming to the Saddlers Centre.
The former Clive Marks unit on Park Mall is being transformed in to a hub following calls from young people in Walsall for more welcoming spaces to spend time and connect with each other. Such space, it is hoped will bring some positivity to the wider town centre community too.
Walsall Council is behind the facility, following the views of young people telling them they want more youth provision.
The Hub will offer free wi-fi, gaming consoles, arts and crafts activities, pool tables and a chill out space.
The unit will be a temporary location until the end of the year, and will move to a permanent premises whilst regeneration works take place in the Town Centre. It will initially be open week day evenings and will be staffed by youth workers from Walsall Council.
The grand opening is planned for Monday 30th June from 1:30pm-3:00pm – Come along to find out more about the space!
